Zero Competition Experience → Silver Medalist
This program really gave me the confidence to do it scared. It definitely changed how I approached skating on-ice and off-ice.The biggest improvements I saw were my scratch spin and loop jump - they are so much more consistent, and I have a lot more confidence. The program helped me a lot for competing - we talked about things that I had never even considered. That helped with the physical, but we also talked about the mental part. That helped me feel comfortable enough to go compete even though I was so nervous. But it turned out great, and I got second place! I truly don't think I would have done as well as I did if I wasn't going through this program at the same time I competed. It's such a tailored approach for each skater, so no matter what level you're at, it's very specific to your needs. I saw so much growth in myself.// AURORA BUCHANAN | AGE 27 | USA
Fear of Falling & Speed → Increased Confidence & Mastery of Basic Skills
A lot of people I worked with before coached kids more - the way they explained things didn't quite click. After the program, everything I did, my form got better, even the skills that I could technically do before, and I had more speed. All the turns (2-foot turn and outside 3-turns) I was working on got better. With past coaches, I never saw much improvement in them, but I definitely have now. I've been able to let go of the fear of falling, and my confidence level has gone way up.My two-foot spin is now consistently around at least 3 revolutions, with many being 4-5 revolutions, versus a few weeks before when I was only getting around 1 revolution. The off-ice was really helpful in targeting muscles a lot of other sports don't use to prevent injuries and mimic skating on-ice while building strength. It's 100% worth it if you're stagnant in your results, and it's very flexible for difficult job schedules.// MELISSA MOORE | AGE 26 | USA
Complete Beginner → Strong Basic Fundamentals & Increased Confidence
My skating has become more confident, more fluid, and my posture was fixed. People have told me, "Wow, you've gotten so much better - you look like a different skater."Before the program, I couldn't hold even two seconds on a one-foot glide, and now I can do 3 circles of inside edges. Focusing on all the basics was something that my in-person group lessons lacked. They didn't explain the mechanics of proper pushing, so I developed a bad habit of toe pushing, but now I can do it properly and gracefully. My spins also got way better. Before, I didn't even know where to put my weight, and the first time you explained it, it was such a revelation that completely changed everything. I went from a half rotation, if I was lucky, to consistently 2-3 rotations.Cathy is a really great trainer, and she really cares about us as students. If anyone is doubtful, just give it a try because it will change your life as a skater and beyond.// GIULIA MIRACAPILLO | AGE 23 | ITALY
My Skating Story
You might know me from YouTube or Instagram, but what you may not know is that I didn’t step onto the ice until I was 20 years old. No childhood lessons, no skating background — just a dream and a pair of rental skates.Fast forward a few years, and I’m now the 2024 Adult National Champion and a 4x Nationals medalist — all while balancing a demanding 9-to-9 job in management consulting. It hasn’t been easy, but every early morning practice, every fall, and every late night at the rink has been worth it.I know what it feels like to watch Olympic skaters and wonder if it’s too late — to want to learn, to grow, to fly — but not know where to start. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help other adults chase their skating dreams with guidance that’s clear, evidence-based, and made for real life.Because it’s never too late to become the skater you’ve always wanted to be.
